Job Description

The Seattle office of Davis Wright Tremaine seeks a mid-level associate to join our Intellectual Property Litigation practice, focusing on patent litigation, litigation involving technology, and general commercial litigation matters.  The ideal candidate will have at least two years of law firm experience, ideally in a mid-sized or large law firm setting. While not required, experience handling patent litigation and/or a technical undergraduate or graduate degree is preferred. This is an excellent opportunity to receive mentorship and grow in an exciting practice area. Excellent writing and oral advocacy skills and strong academic credentials are required. 

Washington bar admission is preferred but we will consider applications from out-of-state candidates who commit to joining the Washington bar after joining the firm. Only candidates with a CS, or BSEE degree, physics degree, or equivalent experience should apply.

The annualized salary range for this position in Washington is $205,000 to $290,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on the candidate’s education, training, experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.  Full time employees may be eligible for a bonus and health insurance with an optional HSA, short term disability, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401(k), vacation, sick time, 10 paid holidays each year and an employee assistance program.  For full-time employees, the initial sick leave benefit is 80 hours of sick leave per year.  Attorneys generally take approximately three weeks of vacation from work each year, and it may vary depending on the needs of the clients and the firm.  Additional voluntary benefits programs include voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary long-term care, voluntary critical illness and cancer insurance and pet insurance.  Commuter and Transit programs are also available.
