Media Litigation Associate - Mid-level - Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle

Davis Wright Tremaine LLP has an exciting opportunity for a mid-level associate to join its nationally recognized media, entertainment, and intellectual property practice to work on a wide range of interesting and high-profile litigation, from content issues to cutting edge content liability and free speech cases, with a focus on digital and emerging media technologies. 

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of law firm experience or a combination of clerkship and AmLaw 100 law firm experience with litigation, with a preference for candidates with experience in copyright, trademark, right of publicity, and/or defamation. Former law clerks are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates must have a J.D. and be an active member of the California or Washington state bar association. Excellent academic credentials and strong analytical and writing skills are required.

The annualized salary range for this position in California and Washington is $225,000 to $290,000.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on the candidate’s education, training, experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.  Full time employees may be eligible for a bonus and health insurance with an optional HSA, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401(k), vacation, sick time, 10 paid holidays each year and an employee assistance program.  For full-time employees, the initial sick leave benefit is 80 hours of sick leave per year.  Attorneys generally take approximately three weeks of vacation from work each year, and it may vary depending on the needs of the clients and the firm.  Additional voluntary benefits programs include: voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary long-term care, and pet insurance.  Commuter and Transit programs are also available.
