Job Description

The Business and Tax practice group of Davis Wright Tremaine LLP seeks a senior associate attorney with a minimum of five years of law firm experience in the areas of mergers and acquisitions and other significant business transactions.

Candidates must have excellent academic credentials and transactional skills. We prefer candidates with law firm experience, an entrepreneurial mindset, a strong client-service ethic and outstanding interpersonal skills. Candidates must have an active, in good standing, state bar license, excellent writing and drafting skills, high level of attention to detail, track record of responsiveness, strong client relationship skills, and be a team player.


DWT’s working atmosphere is fun, fast-paced, and collegial, and partnership advancement potential is strong. Our middle market M&A practice spans a wide range of industries, including technology, consumer, healthcare, food & beverage, manufacturing and industrials. The annualized salary rangefor this position in Washington is $290,000 to $325,000. Actual pay will beadjusted based on the candidate’s education, training, experience and otherjob-related factors permitted by law.  Full time employees may be eligiblefor a bonus and health insurance with an optional HSA, short term disability,long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, Healthcareand Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401(k), vacation, sick time, 10paid holidays each year and an employee assistance program.  For full-timeemployees, the initial sick leave benefit is 80 hours of sick leave peryear.  Attorneys generally take approximately three weeks of vacation fromwork each year, and it may vary depending on the needs of the clients and thefirm.  Additional voluntary benefits programs includevoluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability,voluntary long-term care, voluntary critical illness and cancer insuranceand pet insurance.  Commuter and Transit programs are also available.
