Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is offering a paid, school-term law clerk position to a 2L student to work with our Food + Beverage team for the Spring 2025 Term. This is a remote position with the potential to travel to DWT’s Portland office at some point during the clerkship.

Our Food + Beverage team provides seamless legal services to leading-edge food, beverage, and agriculture businesses across a wide spectrum of areas of expertise including food and alcohol regulatory, antitrust, business and corporate, employment, food safety, venture capital financing, land use and real property, supply chain and intellectual property. Our clients include emerging food brands, large and small food and alcohol manufacturers, and agriculture businesses including fruit growers and milk producers.

The 2L Food + Beverage Diversity Law Clerk opportunity is available to all second-year law students who:

  • Commit to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive legal profession; 
  • Have a demonstrated interest in working with Food + Beverage (including Agriculture) businesses and supporting their legal needs;
  • Currently attend an ABA-Accredited law school;
  • Are able to commit to 5-10 hours of work each week during Spring semester in 2025;
  • Are interested in collaborating with F+B attorneys across practice groups, contributing to blog posts, client alerts, and presentations;
  • Are highly organized, able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines; and
  • Have great communication skills, both written and verbal.

The hourly salary for this position is $40.00/hour.

The hourly salary for this position in California, Washington and District of Columbia is $40.00/hour. Law Clerks are eligible to accrue sick leave in accordance with DWT’s Sick & Safe Leave policy.
