This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the top law firms in the U.S.! Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is looking for a UX/UI Designer to join our team in our Seattle, San Francisco, or Los Angeles office.


As a member of the firm-wide Marketing Department, this position is responsible for the full service of design and production for the firm’s external and internal clients. This position works closely with marketing professionals, practice managers, attorneys and internal stakeholders to address their visual communication needs within the established brand identity guidelines. On a typical day you will:

  • Develop and conceptualize a comprehensive UI/UX design strategy for the brand and cross-promotion events
  • Develop design strategy for high-level events, including websites, email webhooks, presentation templates, social media templates, etc. WordPress knowledge and basic server configuration (Siteground preferred) is a must.
  • Produce high-quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes
  • Collaborate with marketing and practice management groups to develop marketing materials that are cost-effective and innovative. Design custom illustrations and conceptual event branding
  • Design, code, and troubleshoot email templates (Cvent or other event management platforms). Conduct yearly audit on master templates to keep up with industry best-practices and technology.
  • Code custom templates for blog, advisory, and email templates and train other team members as needed
  • Collaborate closely with the web team and other departments to solve problems creatively and effectively across various platforms including, but not limited to troubleshooting website code, building WordPress sites, researching hosting, building Microsoft Office templates to streamline proposal management, and FTP image uploads and optimization
  • Provide advice and guidance on implementing firm’s established brand on various client and vendor platforms
  • Design and develop digital strategy to be implemented with event management platform and/or within DWT’s website capabilities
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance and design solutions on digital projects, not limited to custom emails, web interactions, and process intake management
  • Responsible for designing and communicating front-end user interfaces and related user-centered design artifacts to stakeholders
  • Keep up to date with the latest visual and web trends, techniques, technologies, event, and marketing industry in order to keep the firm’s brand identity relevant and innovative
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Join us if you have:

  • 2+ years’ experience as a UX/UI designer, required
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Sketch App, Figma, HTML and CSS, JavaScript, WordPress, and Bootstrap
  • Demonstrated experience using Adobe CC. MS Office product proficiency including PowerPoint, Word and Excel, required; Experience with web builder products and event software a plus; Experience with Outlook email optimization is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of best web practices and standards as well as print production
  • Ability to handle multiple projects under aggressive time constraints simultaneously
  • Ability to present your designs and back up your solutions in a positive manner and expertly handle critique
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to maintain effective working relationships and communicate verbally and in writing in a professional, courteous manner with clients, firm members, and other business contacts
  • Understanding of modern front-end code HTML/CSS/JS is a must. Ability to basic coding and server configuration is required
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
