This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the top law firms in the U.S.! Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is looking for a Professional Development Coordinator to join our team in either Seattle or Portland office.

The objective and focus of this position is to assist the Professional Development (PD) Senior Manager with the integration of  incoming attorneys into the firm, coordinate resources during their transition, and facilitate the development of these attorneys through the Path to Partnership process. This position is also responsible for supporting the PD Senior Manager with the attorney performance management process and other initiatives.

On a typical day you will:

  • Provide logistical and administrative support to the Professional Development Senior Manager for coordination of the attorney mentor program and Path to Partnership Program. This includes coordination with tracking new hires, mentor pairings and Path to Partnership eligibility
  • Assist Professional Development Senior Manager on updates to tips sheets and other materials relating to attorney integration, mentorship and path-to-partnership
  • Coordinate use of viIntegrate across firm departments for firm laterals relating to mentorship pairings and other aspects as needed
  • Assist Professional Development Senior Manager with aspects of the attorney review process and Share Process including materials assembly and preparation
  • Schedule and track review meetings and Path to Partnership meetings
  • Collaborate with Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) on any attorney mentoring programs within DEI affinity groups
  • Collaborate with Senior Manager of Attorney Training and Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Compliance, Senior Manager of Staff Development & Training, and the Early Career Associate Development Manager on firm wide initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned

Join us if you have:

  • 1+ years of experience in professional services talent development or similar area strongly preferred.  Previous experience in a law firm or professional services organization, supporting a multi-office environment, preferred
  • College degree preferred or equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required. Knowledge of all MS Office products strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and use database applications required; viGlobal/Wave preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally with lawyers managers and staff;both written and verbal communications are required
  • Ability to organize assignments, work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • High degree of attention to detail and organizational skills required
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment in both team and independent settings required
  • Strong client service skills required, including understanding and responding to a variety of inquiries and requests.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines required
  • High degree of sensitivity to confidential matters required
