Media Litigation Associate - Junior to Mid-Level - Los Angeles
The Los Angeles office of Davis Wright Tremaine LLP has an exciting opportunity for a junior to mid-level associate to join its nationally recognized media practice. We litigate First Amendment, IP, and freedom of information cases for media organizations, journalists, artists, and other content providers, and provide a wide range of prebroadcast and prepublication review and counseling services. A background in media, IP, or First Amendment law is helpful but not required. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ litigation experience (or a combination of clerkship and law firm experience), and former law clerks are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates must be active members of the California Bar in good standing, and possess strong writing skills.
We are an AmLaw 100 law firm with ten offices nationwide. We are relentlessly committed to client service and look for candidates who share that commitment. At DWT, client service means having empathy for each client’s and each lawyer’s work and personal pressures, business objectives, and legal needs; anticipating their needs; and having the capabilities and commitment to deliver what matters most to them.
To apply, please upload a cover letter addressed to Marissa Sandoval, Lawyer Talent Acquisition Specialist, a resume, a copy of your law transcript, and a brief writing sample (10 pages max., redacted to omit confidential details).
We are not accepting submissions from third-party recruiters.
