This is an excellent opportunity to work for one of the top law firms in the U.S. Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is looking for a Marketing Content Manager to join our team in Washington D.C.

The Marketing Content Manager is responsible for the development and execution of Davis Wright Tremaine’s website content strategy. This position will write high-level strategic and detailed content for use across dwt.com, as well as advise subject matter experts on best practices on writing thought leadership for the web (blogs, social media, etc.). This content will drive consumer action and engagement for each practice and industry group, as well as firmwide. This position will work with the Marketing and Practice Management functions to accomplish content strategy objectives and to ensure superior visitor experiences.

Responsibilities
  •  Write fresh content for the firm’s website in areas such as practice/industry pages, insights, firm initiatives, offices, and more
  • Manage and maintain an editorial calendar for website content
  • Ensure firm wide message and brand are consistent across all thought-leadership channels
  • Advise thought leaders on best practices for web content writing, such as headlines, tone, and style for webpages, blog posts, advisories, and social media
  • Collaborate with the Communications Strategist to publicize firm news, recognition/honors/awards, and other firm-related stories across multiple digital channels
  • Assist in developing the social media strategy, and leverage social media on the firm’s website
  • Interview and develop strong relationships with internal subject matter experts
  • Draft new attorney biographies 
  • Develop and maintain online content that attracts attention, generates interest and is easily shared by key audiences
  • Recommend new approaches and recognize opportunities to repurpose, repackage, and optimize content to improve return on content investment
  • Ensure all digital content and campaigns are optimized for Search Engine Optimization
Qualifications
  •  Bachelor's degree, preferably in English, Journalism, Communications, or Marketing 
  • 5+ years’ of experience in copywriting and editing in professional services industry
  • 3+ years’ of professional experience writing for and/or managing blogs and social media channels
  • 2+ years’ experience with MS Office
  • Ability to analyze and present content and social performance
  • A dual-minded approach: highly creative and an excellent writer who can also be process-driven, think scale, and rely on data to make decisions
  • Project management skills and understanding how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment and focus on the delivery of results in the form of engagement and leads
  • Strong understanding of the legal industry
  • Knowledge and experience with SEO
  • Experience within a Brand Marketing team
  • Ability to stay organized and multi-task
Physical Requirement
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; and occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
