Davis Wright Tremaine LLP has an exciting opportunity for a mid-level associate with at least three years of entertainment related transactional experience to join our film and television legal services group. The position will focus on development and production legal matters for top producers of content across all platforms, scripted and unscripted. We are open to candidates joining our Los Angeles or New York office.

Essential Responsibilities:
Negotiate and draft film/television/new media agreements covering all facets of development, production and distribution including option/purchase agreements, co-production and production services agreements, talent agreements (writer, director, and actor), license agreements and other production-related agreements.

* JD and member of the California or New York State Bar (active and in good standing);
* 3+ years of experience in-house with a studio or production company or with a major law firm/established entertainment boutique law firm;
* Entertainment transactional experience required;
* Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills;
* Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills and computer literacy;
* Able to work independently and as part of a team;
* Strong work ethic;
* Able to handle multiple, high priority tasks in a fast-paced environment;
* Precise attention to detail;
* Responsive and a problem-solver.
