Job Description

Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is seeking a junior or mid-level associate for its growing, Chambers-ranked national energy law practice to work in its Washington, D.C. office. The candidate should have at least two years of FERC-related experience, including some experience on both electric and natural gas regulatory matters.  Experience with NERC regulation and enforcement matters, administrative litigation, and hydroelectric licensing and project development is a plus, but is not required.

The associate will work on wide variety of exciting FERC regulatory matters for a nation-wide mix of clients including regulated utilities, natural gas producers, electric generators, and renewable developers.  The associate will interact directly with clients with the goal of taking on responsibility to manage aspects of complex cases independently.  The associate will also be given the training and resources to begin developing their own clients.

Candidates must have a J.D. and local bar membership is a plus.  Prior law firm experience or employment at FERC is not required but would be very beneficial.
