This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the top law firms in the U.S.  Davis Wright Tremaine is looking for an Endpoint Engineer to join our team in Seattle.  

The Endpoint Engineer position will work as part of a collaborative team in a fast paced environment to implement automation and ensure optimal performance of all endpoints.  The position is responsible for the implementation and support of firm-wide endpoints which include: Microsoft Windows OS, Windows-based applications, SCCM, Ivanti User Workspace Manager, and scripting technologies. The position will serve as a technical resource to the Endpoint Engineering team, Infrastructure Operations, Technology Solutions, Service Desk, and Training teams. The Endpoint Engineer position is responsible for implementing the department’s goals using the technology provided by the firm.

In this role you will:
  •  Support and Administer Ivanti User Workspace Manager environment
  • Implement and provide suggestions about GPOs for endpoint management
  • Support and Administer SCCM infrastructure and deployment technologies
  • Support and Administer VMWare Airwatch MDM
  • Support and Administer virtualized environment including Citrix and VMWare Horizon
  • Implement automated deployment methodologies using various scripting solutions
  • Serve as primary escalation resource for assigned applications.
  • Produce and maintain documentation as well as application life cycle
  • Package and deploy endpoint applications
  • Endpoint security and application technologies for all Endpoints
  • Adhere to change control process; based on industry best practices
  • Design, create, and maintain self-service access to all supported applications
  • Communicate with internal resources to identify issues and explain solutions
  • Experience developing and managing Microsoft Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
  • Knowledge of managing and scripting SCCM processes (PowerShell, VB, Windows Scripting, etc.)
  • Advanced experience with Windows operating systems.
  • Knowledge of patch management and software distribution
  • Proficiency in policy management  (Group Policy, Ivanti)
On a typical day you will:
  •  Maintain knowledge of iVanti Workspace Manager and how various departments, practice groups, and teams utilize them to support business processes 
  • Provide technical advice and support for all applications deployed via SCCM. 
  • Maintain knowledge of scripting technologies (PowerShell, VB, Windows Scripting, etc.) and how various departments, practice groups, and teams utilize them to support business processes 
  • Coordinate timely quality assurance of applications with the appropriate team members. 
  • Maintain knowledge of virtualization technologies (Citrix and VMWare, etc.) and how various departments, practice groups, and teams utilize them to support business processes 
  • Provide technical advice and support for all application packaging, compatibility testing, and software distribution
  • Maintain awareness and adherence of security measures, policies, methods and procedures that safeguard the integrity of and access to enterprise systems, files, and firm data. Promote a culture that encourages information security as an integral part of IT architecture and business processes
  • Utilize strong knowledge of deploying Microsoft Windows OS image to manage, deploy, patch, and update all endpoints (Windows 7 and 10)
  • Apply thorough understanding of advanced network concepts, application interoperability, and Active Directory architecture to day to day operations.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by Endpoint Engineering Manager.
Join us if you have:
  •  5+ years of experience with packaging / deploying operating systems such as SCCM and Ivanti Workspace Manager. 
  • 3+ years of direct experience in end user computing 
  • A self-starter mentality while being able to be a team player, and a willingness to learn and utilize new technologies
  • The ability to provide off-hour support (evening, weekends and holiday) as needed
  • A demonstrated understanding of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, various Windows OS, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional customer service and troubleshooting skills, problem solving, and follow-up skills are required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required. Must be a team player.
  • The ability to handle stressful situations in a calm, composed manner
  • A knack to quickly assess a situation and adjust approach to fit.
  • A strong attention to detail and quality control required.
  • Sharp analytical skills
  • Experience with ITIL methodologies
  • A GED/High School Diploma, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
