This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the top law firms in the U.S.! Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is looking for an Endpoint Engineer I to join our team in either Seattle, Bellevue, Portland, Los Angeles, or San Francisco office.

 

The Endpoint Engineer I will work as a part of a the Endpoint Engineering team responsible for the packaging, deployment, and maintenance of Operating Systems, software applications, and updates to the firm's physical, virtual, and mobile endpoint devices. This position will perform a wide variety of functions to ensure all endpoints meet performance requirements and are delivered to meet customer needs according to the Endpoint Engineering team standards. The Endpoint Engineer I will be responsible for endpoint support functions This position is also responsible for endpoint performance modeling, analysis, reporting, and endpoint test planning as well as other functions as required for supporting endpoints. This position reports to the Manager of Endpoint Engineering

On a typical day you will:

Provide guidance to service desk as it relates endpoint management

  • Support the SCCM infrastructure
  • Support Ivanti User Workspace Manager environment
  • Support VMWare Horizon environment
  • Support two factor authentication environment
  • Support monthly security updates in accordance with the Endpoint Engineering group’s policy
  • Support packaging and deploying endpoint applications
  • Endpoint security and application technologies for all endpoints
  • Design, create, and maintain test solutions and scripts to ensure proper functionality
  • Participate in the testing and evaluation of new technologies
  • Troubleshooting software and hardware issues both physical and virtual
  • Communicate with users to identify issues and explain solutions
  • Support Mobile Device Management (MDM)
  • Tier 3-4 escalation support within the Endpoint Engineering group for endpoint devices both physical and virtual
  • Identify and implement automation solutions to reduce manual and repeating operational tasks
  • Handle escalations from IT Support staff and provide training and documentation as necessary
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by Endpoint Engineering Manager

 

CORE COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

  • Knowledge, troubleshooting, and experience with Windows operating systems
  • Familiarity with policy management (Group Policy, Intune, Ivanti)
  • Knowledge of application packaging, compatibility testing, and software distribution using industry standard practices
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows OS image management, deployment, and patching (Windows 10 and 11)
  • Understanding of advanced network concepts and application interoperability, and Active Directory architecture required

  • Basic knowledge of Ivanti User Workspace Manager
  • Basic knowledge of scripting (PowerShell, VB, Windows Scripting, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge for most aspects of VMWare Horizon)
  • Basic knowledge of two factor authentication
  • Basic knowledge of application packaging, compatibility testing, and software distribution required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS image management, deployment, and patching (Windows 10 and 11)
  • Basic knowledge of technology troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of industry standard application packaging technologies
  • Understanding of advanced network concepts and application interoperability, and Active Directory architecture
  • Good documentation skills and experience with creating standard operating procedures
  • Experience in policy management (Group Policy, Ivanti)
  • Knowledge of ITIL methodologies
  • 3+ years of experience with packaging and deploying operational systems such as SCCM and Ivanti Workspace Manager
  • 3+ years of direct experience in workstation management
  • The individual will need to be able to have a self-starter mentality and a willingness to learn, share, and utilize new technologies
  • Must be professional, organized, and flexible; able to work in a fast-paced environment required
  • Provide off-hour support (evening, weekends and holiday) as needed
  • Written and verbal communications skills effective with all levels of a professional services organization, required
  • Be an advocate of knowledge sharing across IT
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to handle stressful situations in a calm, composed manner
  • Strong analysis and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and quality control
  • Strong decision-making, follow-up, follow-through, and priority setting skills
  • Must be a team player, comfortable working in a collaborative environment
  • Demonstrated ability to stay apprised and learn new technologies quickly and independently
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and practice good judgment required
  • Ability to work independently, with minimum supervision required
  • Previous experience in a law firm or professional services organization, supporting a multi-office environment, preferred
