Employment Advice + Counsel - Senior Associate - Los Angeles or San Francisco
Davis Wright Tremaine LLP seeks to hire a senior associate with a minimum of seven years’ employment experience to join its California and national employment law practice. The ideal candidate will have significant advice and counseling experience, some employment litigation experience, and a broad understanding of federal and California employment laws and regulations. Preferably, the candidate will have a majority of experience in an employment practice group or employment-only law firm. The practice will focus on providing advice and counseling to clients concerning employment law issues, with secondary work on employment litigation, including single plaintiff and class action matters. Counseling will include providing advice, drafting policies, handbooks, employment agreements, deal support, wage-hour, leave of absences, investigations, etc.
The candidate must be a member or pending member of the California State Bar. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident, self-motivated lawyer with a desire to build a comprehensive employment practice in a collegial environment. This position can be based out of the Los Angeles or San Francisco office.
We are relentlessly committed to client service and look for candidates who share that commitment. At DWT, client service means having empathy for each client’s and each lawyer’s work and personal pressures, business objectives, and legal needs; anticipating their needs; and having the capabilities and commitment to deliver what matters most to them.
To apply, please upload a cover letter addressed to Bahareh Samanian, Director of Lawyer Recruiting, resume, a copy of your law school transcript, and a brief writing sample (10 pages max). We are currently accepting submissions from third-party recruiters.
