Davis Wright Tremaine LLP has an exciting associate attorney opportunity to join its sophisticated and growing Government Contracts Counseling & Litigation Practice and is seeking a junior attorney with 1-3 years of experience. 

The associate hired for this position will support the firm’s government contracts practice, which includes a broad range of litigation, counseling, and transactional work.  The successful candidate will handle federal and state government contract matters including: drafting REAs and claims; litigating bid protests; conducting compliance investigations; conducting audits; advising on federal and state subcontracting issues; drafting subcontracts, teaming agreements, and JV agreements, and; advising on cybersecurity issues, IP issues, federal grants and Uniform Guidance, Small Business Administration regulations and compliance (with special emphasis on Alaska Native Corporations), and general FAR and DFARS compliance.  Candidates must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, strong research and analytical skills, and be highly organized and detail-oriented.  Preference may be given to candidates who have experience litigating government contracts matters before the Government Accountability Office, U.S. Court of Federal Claims and Boards of Contract Appeals, or who have served as a law clerk to a Judge on a government contracts tribunal.  Preference may also be given to candidates who have experience with or interest in federal construction projects and procurement.
